Originally Sergey is from Kursk, Russia. He was brought to the dance studio to take a few lessons for fun. However, gifted teachers picked his interest in dance very quickly and focused young man on quality movement right from the start. In less than a year Sergey hit competitive dance floor for the first time which was the beginning of his successful career in Ballroom & Latin. Over the time he has won numerous National and International Dance Championships both in Ballroom and Latin.
Sergey attributes his success in the field to the constant work on development of his own dancing style, to the guidance provided by knowledgeable & seasoned team of coaches and mentors behind him, and of course to his firing passion and drive which helps him to achieve new horizons every single day.
Sergey's international teaching and training experience has began in Dubai, UAE in 2007. A year later Sergey has moved to the United States. Between 2008 and now Sergey has worked in Pro/Am and taught at a number of studios across America including Maryland, Washington, Connecticut, New York Florida and etc.

Over the past 10 years Sergey has won a number of National and International Pro/Am titles with his students. Sergey has delivered the following Pro/Am titles to his students between 2012 and today: Three Time undefeated National Pro/Am Champion in American Smooth, 9-Dance US Champion, Emerald Ball Pro/Am Smooth Champion title, Runner up US National American Rhythm Closed Bronze 2021 in ladies A, Pro/Am US National Rhythm Champion in Senior 2 devision, 3rd Place in Closed Silver American Rhythm Pro/Am National Championship 2022,  US National Open Gold International Standard Champion 2021 and Ohio Star Ball Pro/Am Smooth Champion title in Closed Bronze Smooth 2022, US National title in Closed Bronze Smooth in ladies A in 2021, 2022, US National Pre-teen Champion Title in Smooth 2021. Sergey Vasilyev is  show performer of TV show on PBS “American Ballroom Challenge”. Mr. Vasilyev is DVIDA certified professional. At the moment Sergey is focused on contonudity of his Pro/Am career along with Let's Dance With Me development as the school focused on premium quliaty dance instruction, attention to detail and superb customer experince!
