During this 45-minute class, your instructor will present 3-4 steps/elements of Kizomba, Bachata, Zouk, Salsa, Mambo, and Merengue. The teacher will alternate between dances to cover the basics of each style. You will learn the foot patterns of Caribbean dances, the feel of the music, and basic aspects of partnership. We strongly encourage changing partners during the class to practice your skills with different individuals, although it is not required. Your instructor will demonstrate how specific patterns work while dancing with a partner. The class is highly engaging, and our professional instructors always balance challenge and fun. This session is perfect for gentlemen looking to enhance their leading skills and learn step patterns outside the traditional Ballroom and Latin styles. It is also an excellent opportunity for ladies to immerse themselves in Caribbean culture, enhance their bodywork with new skills and tricks, captivating everyone in the room while dancing. After the class, you will be introduced to other supplementary classes that can accelerate your progress towards your ultimate dancing goal. With each class, you will feel increasingly confident in Caribbean dances and your presence on the dance floor.
