This class is designed to establish strong fundamentals of Foxtrot and Swing for students seeking to gain comfort and confidence on the social dance floor. It is recommended that students take 4-8 classes to achieve the desired results. By attending class regularly, you will develop the skills necessary to confidently get up and dance at parties, weddings, or on a cruise. We now offer this class in the afternoon. The closest alternative to an evening class would be the Social Basics Class.

Class Experience
Within a 45-minute session, your instructor will introduce a few steps of Foxtrot and Swing. After that, you will be taught fundamental skills such as footwork, timing, leading and following, and connecting the presented material in the correct order. Once all the theoretical and practical work is covered, our instructor will warm you up and prepare your body for the class material. This class will exclusively focus on Foxtrot and Swing. You will learn how to Box, Promenade, execute Under Arm Turns, perform Rock Steps, Pivots, and more in the Foxtrot section. In the Swing portion of the class, our instructor will teach and demonstrate the Basic Step, Under Arm Turns, Spins, Change of Place, 111 Walks, Alternating Turns, and more.
While you will be encouraged to try the material with other students in the class, it is not mandatory. Our aim is for you to fully master Swing and Foxtrot. After the class, your instructor will introduce all the other possible options available to help you achieve mastery in Foxtrot and Swing and to prepare you for any possible scenarios on the social dance floor.

To get a taste of the class, you may start with a special of $15 / class offered to new students. Following that the following options are available: one class at time; package of 4 classes and a package of 10 classes. Contact us for details.
